Energy prices will rise for millions of people across the UK in April, at a time when finances are squeezed as a result of the pandemic. This is due to higher wholesale energy prices and an increase in the price cap recently announced by the regulator Ofgem. The typical gas and electricity customer is likely to see their bill go up at least £100 and much more for those who benefitted from low prices last year.
Now is the time to look at how to make your home more energy efficient and to shop around for the best energy deals. Lymm Community Energy is offering FREE, independent advice to help residents in Lymm and the surrounding area as part of the national Big Energy Saving Winter Campaign*. This includes signposting to grants for improving energy efficiency and installing renewable energy technologies.
