5th Annual Produce Show – Oughtrington Community Orchard

Ever heard of guerrilla knitting? No? Come and see what it’s all about at the fifth Produce Show at Oughtrington Community Centre in September.

As well as a chance to see guerrilla knitting in action there are a whole host of competition categories – Vegetables, Fruit, Flowers, Food (cakes & jam) and children only.  See our website
and visit the Produce Show page for details, or pick up a flyer at any of the shows below. The Produce Show will be open from 2-4pm, but if you are entering get your entries to us by 11am for judging.   Why not give it a go?

This year we are also doing a special recipe swop with Low Carbon Lymm.  We are looking for loved local recipes for you to share.   We will be out and about this summer so please bring your recipe to:

v  Lymm Food Festival on Thursday 20th June

– look out for our post box

v  Lymm Historic Transport Festival on 23rd June,  at the May Queen field

v  Peg it on our recipe line at the Produce Show at Oughtrington Community Centre on Sunday 8th September 2-4pm

Also this year we’ll be doing:

v  More apple pressing demos.

  • If you want to hire our press for the day its £10, email us for details

v  We’ve got the experts in again so bring your fruit & veg questions as the judges are staying during the show to answer your gardening questions on a 1-2-1 basis.

v  There will be something crafty to keep the children amused

v  And finally at 3.30pm there

will be an awards ceromony followed by the auction of produce.  The orchard are giving 3 awards sponsored by Big Lottery and Local Food – Best Veg in Show, Best Home Produce & Best Overall Children’s Entry.
